about

Hamburg based label hfn music presents some of its best songs from the year 2020, a retrospective of the label’s latest eclectic sounds.

The collection is headed by hfn music’s 100th release, Trentemøller’s gorgeous remix for Blaue Blume’s ‘Lovable’ and closes with the Trentemøller rework for 2nd Blood’s ‘Turn It Back’.

In between you’ll find fine “indietronic” pop moments with Lydmor’s ‘If You Want Capacity’ or Frum’s new single ‘The Only Way’ while Jacob Bellens contributes ‘Sun Has Gone’ from his new album ‘My Heart Is Hungry And The Days Go By So Quickly’.

Another long time hfn artist is Kasper Bjørke who is featuted here with two remixes from his double-EP project ‘Nothing Gold Can Stay’, respectively the remix EPs: The Panthera Krause remix of ‘Venetian Blinds’ and the epic and superfunky Tensnake remix of ‘Seabird’ that appears here in all its full glory of the ‘extend club version’.

Copenhagen based newcomers Fluqx include ‘Feather’ from their stunning debut album ‘Monolith’ which was released on hfn music in spring.

To complement the collection, songs from the sublabels are included as well, namely ‘Future Ruins feat. Roxy Jules’ from TOM And His Computers long awaited debutalbum of the same title which was released on Trentemøller’s In My Room imprint in October. The accompanying video by Martin Garde Abildgaard keeps winning video music awards since then.
Focussing on the dancefloor, sublabel hafendisko contributes three of their latest cuts, Eva Be’s ‘The Way’, ‘Plowshare’ by Sebastopol and ‘Inside Is Nothing At All’ by Lopezhouse & Eleonora.

Overseen by Kasper Bjørke and Sexy Lazer the ‘Sisters & Brother’ imprint contributes ‘Bottom’ by Modular Project which is taken from S&B’s ‘Third Gathering’.
