about

This collection of fine songs combining electronic elements with real instruments showcases current releases of the Hamburg based label hfn music and Anders Trentemøller’s sublabel In My Room.
All songs are made by Scandinavian artists and without being “moody”, they revolve around a certain “nordic” mood, sometimes slightly contemplative with a touch of dark, sometimes uplifting with a touch of rebellion, but always great music.
This first volume features artists like Trentemøller and Kasper Bjørke alongside bands like Darkness Falls, Reptile Youth and Human Woman who invited guests like Nicolas Jarr, Jacob Bellens, This Is Head, Gus Gus, Mofus, Laid Back, Mikael Simpson, Emma Acs, Captain Fufanu and S.C.U.M for reinterpretations, vocals and remixes, not to forget Marie Fisker, who contributes her wonderful vocals to ‘Sycamore Feeling’ as well as to Trentemøller’s cover version of Chis Isaak’s ‘Blue Hotel’.
As you might have noticed, we’ve also sneaked an Austrian, now New Yorker, in, as two songs from Dorit Chrysler’s new EP (released and produced by Trentemøller) fit in too well.
